Wire is a common phrase to describe wiring funds or wire transfer from one bank account to another. Wiring money is performed throughout the world as an effective way to transfer funds. In the context of SPVs, investors who want to participate in an SPV investment opportunity must transmit their investment money to the SPV. Money transmitted to an SPV is mainly through Wire and ACH. Transmitting money through a wire is fast, sometimes same day, ACH money movement is slower, around 3 days. Bank fees when using a wire transfer is more expensive than an ACH transfer, international wires can sometimes cost as much as $50 USD compared to less than one USD for an ACH transfer. Both Wire and ACH money movement options are effective and commonly used by SPV investors.
